In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, now it’s even more important than ever to address mental health. The Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has just released a new resource: Compassion in Action: A Guide for Faith Communities Serving People Experiencing Mental Illness and their Caregivers, a document carefully designed to provide a starting point and recommended first steps.
In conjunction with this new resource, The Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives will host a Compassion in Action Webinar Series to examine the seven principles covered in the guide and define ways faith and community groups can address them.
