After a three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, annual Medicaid eligibility redeterminations have resumed. The White House Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden has expressed concern that many eligible and needy people will inadvertently fall off the Medicaid rolls because they either don’t receive, or understand, the renewal notices sent to the last address on record. Because so many of our members interact with people currently in shelters and transitional housing programs, or coming out of prison, they could fall through the cracks of bureaucracy.
