In Their Words

CN: What is something happening at your mission that you are most grateful for?

Oliver Gospel : Seven of our guests have found and moved into their own housing (3 at our Men's Center, and 4 at Toby's Place, our shelter for women and children) so far in 2024. In addition, multiple guests have found new jobs, and two have made significant strides in obtaining their GED.

CN: What is something you are looking forward to and/or praying for?

Oliver Gospel : We are refreshing a job-training program for our guests that works directly with our multiple social enterprises. The OG Works program allows guests to learn the soft and hard skills necessary to maintain stable employment. This experience can be applied to our guest's resume, increasing the likelihood of receiving a job once they complete the program.

CN: In what ways has being a Citygate Network member been a resource to you and your team?

Oliver Gospel : Ministering to our neighbors in need requires an incredible amount of community support. The resources and connections that Citygate provides bring the wisdom required to successfully grow our programs and an energy that propels our Mission forward.
