In Their Words

CN: What is something happening at your mission that you are most grateful for?

Kokomo Rescue Mission: I am grateful for God's continuous reminders that He is our Source. In ways large and small, He provides for the needs of the Kokomo Rescue Mission. One year ago we were very early in the process of considering a building project. We had no funds and an estimated cost of $8 million for the project. 1 year later that project has begun, with God providing and identifying (so far) over $5 million of the necessary funds. Only God!

CN: What is something you are looking forward to and/or praying for?

Kokomo Rescue Mission : On September 18th, we held a groundbreaking ceremony for our Engage building project. We are expanding at our main building, doubling the capacity of both our mens shelter and dining room, and building space for our new Engagement Center. 20,000 square feet of new space. Construction has just begun. Completion target date is the spring of 2026.

CN: How has your involvement/engagement with Citygate Network impacted your ministry?

Kokomo Rescue Mission: I have a long history in ministry in our community but am a relative newbie to rescue missions. Citygate Network has provided a sense of community and a place of learning for me. I have particularly valued the CEO summit and its leadership development. Ministry is isolating. Citygate reminds me that I am not alone.
