In Their Words

CN: What is something happening at your mission that you are most grateful for?

Turlock Gospel Mission: We are excited this year to see so many men and women find freedom, the restoration of their relationships with God, their families, and the community. Nourish Kitchens is a life restoration program with a focus on job readiness and employment soft skill development. Nourish Kitchens utilizes many of the same tools sister mission programs use, such as the Genesis Process, and ACE Overcomers, and focuses participants healing from trauma and developing a new approach to decision making for the future.

CN: What is something you are looking forward to and/or praying for?

Turlock Gospel Mission: We are in the midst of a significant conflict with our city government regarding one of our buildings. The City made some decisions that have the potential to cost TGM significant financial harm. City staff have admitted to errors and bad decisions but the City Council has not been willing to adopt measures to fix the issue. Please pray with us that the City Council has a change of heart regarding the work of the Turlock Gospel Mission and their role in this issue.

CN: In what ways has being a Citygate Network member been a resource to you and your team?

Turlock Gospel Mission: Citygate Network has been a tremendous blessing the to Turlock Gospel Mission and to the staff and leadership. The training, support and relational network the association provides are critical at TGM navigates operational best practice and climate. We love Citygate Network!
