Born and raised as a “missionary kid” in Guatemala, Alice moved to the U.S. at the end of high school and earned a degree in communications from the University of Texas. In 2001, she moved to Colorado and poured herself into raising three children as a single mom while working for several nonprofits, including International Students Inc. and Outreach, Inc. Currently in various stages of young adulthood, her kids have all launched out on their own journeys now, but come home regularly to check in. Alice enjoys many outdoor activities with her new husband, including biking, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and beekeeping. She also feeds her soul by hosting, writing, reading, traveling, and sports.
