Behavioral Health Associate Counselor

The Behavioral Health Associate Clinician is responsible for providing individual therapy and group therapy to Mission guests. As an Associate level Clinician, you have completed your Master's degree program, you have already obtained your Associate level license through the DOH and are ready to gain clinically supervised hours in accordance with your licensure track as determined by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH), and will eventually study and prepare to take the LMHC or similar exam.



Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM



Responsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy for Mission guests
Facilitate specific groups based on skills, training and interest
Maintain clinical documentation and other administrative tasks required for competent care
Work closely with the Sr. Behavioral Health Counselor to complete all required clinical hours and supervision required by your graduate program within your internship
Work with each guest and their care team, including case management, to ensure effective communication with client support systems and treatment team
Attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings
Attend wrap, focus, and staff meetings as scheduled
Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or a related field is required
Gaining clinically supervised hours which are supervised by a licensed mental health professional at the Mission.
Studying and preparing for the LMHC, LICSW, LMFT or a related exam
Experience in social service organizations is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or reach. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
