There is nothing wrong with this. I have a personal mission statement—it’s “Equipping people to win life’s battles.” My friend Jim Wilder has one also. His is “Teaching the church how to suffer well.” Mission statements, however, focus on tasks. There is a deeper sense of purpose that grows out of our right-brain sense of identity.
